Breeder of Persian, Exotics & Maine Coon Cats
My name is Linda Dutton. I live with my husband Neil in Sheffield, South Yorkshire.
I have been breeding & showing cats since the late 1970's. Over the years I have had some success on the show bench, both with cats I have bred & cats I have bought in. I started breeding pure blue, cream & blue cream pedigrees, however this quickly developed into smokes & cameos as I developed a love of this breed.
I began breeding bi & tri colours with the intention of going into bi & tri smokes. The exotics have been in my cattery for a while; however these began to become my first love around 2000. We now breed Maine Coons in a small way, we have our own boy & 3 girls.
I am a full judge on the Tipped & Exotic breed, a probationer on the Somali breed lists & have extended this by joining the Turkish Van, Norwegian Forest Cat, Self Persian, Patched Persian, Tabby Persian & Colourpoint Persian BAC's as a probationer judge.
I am the show manager for The North of Britain LH & SLH Cat Club, and Joint Show Manager for The Black, Red Self & Tortie and Tortie & White and Bicolour CC, a position which I enjoy & thank the people who have supported me to fulfil the role.
Since I took early retirement in June 07 I have more time to devote to my passion - the cats of course. Along with my judging I have a busy & hectic life which I thoroughly enjoy.
Neil supports me with the cats, helping when kittening time approaches, feeding & socialising babies plus helping to generally care for our cats. We also have a German Shepherd who is 10.
